Headteacher’s Welcome
We hope that you will get a real flavour of life in our school from reading about all the achievements of the children and seeing what happens in our school on a regular basis. We have had to deal with many recent challenges, both locally and globally, but our children, our school, and our community all still continue to thrive.
We are proud of the wonderful academic achievements of our pupils, but this is not what defines the children at our school. We measure our success by the smiles that we see around school as well as by the excellent academic results the children achieve. It is this balance that makes The Deans such a special place. We are delighted to have received recognition of the values that we live and breathe by being named a Flagship Centre of Excellence for Inclusion.

Summer Fair
We’re really excited to be hosting our first ever summer fair this year! Our Friends of The Deans have done an incredible job to organise what should be a lots of fun for all the family. The fair will take place on Friday, 30th June after school, from 3:30pm onwards. We will have games to play, competitions, stalls from amazing local businesses and even a bouncy castle.
We have been very kindly supported with this event by Home Instead, who are providing the bouncy castle, Asda who have helped with some of our prizes, and some brilliant local businesses including Cupcake Heaven, Queen of Cards, The Flower Girl and TS melts amongst many others.
NFL Flag Football
This year has seen the introduction of NFL flag football to The Deans Primary School. One of our amazing HLTAs brought a wealth of flag football experience to The Deans Primary School this year, beginning an after school club with some of our pupils. From starting off learning the absolute basics, these pupils have gone from strength to strength, developing their passion for the game and displaying real resilience, enthusiasm and tenacity.
Sow the City
Sow the City are running some more brilliant sessions for families after school on a Friday, starting with Butterfly Feeders and Botanical Bunting on 23rd June.
Come and join us for some brilliant, natural fun and learning! See Dojo for full information.
